Hotels in Magallanes, Chile
Magallanes is Chile's southernmost region, a windswept Patagonian frontier with a cool climate-summers (December-February) average 50°F (10°C), perfect for trekking in Torres del Paine National Park, while winters (June-August) drop to 30°F (-1°C), ideal for spotting king penguins at Isla Magdalena. It's famous for the jagged granite peaks of Torres del Paine and the massive Perito Moreno Glacier, where you can take boat tours or ice hike right up to the blue ice. In summer, you can hike the W Circuit for close-up glacier views, but come in spring (October-November) for cheaper flights and fewer crowds on the trails.
