Lac du Bourget is France's largest natural lake, sitting just north of Aix-les-Bains in the Rhône-Alpes region. Famous for its turquoise waters and thermal springs, the lake offers sailing and windsurfing in the warm summers (temps hit 80°F / 27°C), while winters (lows around 35°F / 2°C) are perfect for soaking in the historic spas of Aix-les-Bains or skiing in the nearby Bauges Mountains.
