Laguna is a province just south of Manila, known for its hot springs and towering 200-foot Pagsanjan Falls. The climate is tropical, with dry months from November to April perfect for canyoneering at the falls, and wet season from June to October ideal for soaking in the 40°C (104°F) sulfuric springs at Pansol. In between, you can hike up the 1,100 steps of Mount Makiling or tour the 19th-century woodcarving village of Paete.
